2009 Odyssey

We travel to Dubbo, Birdsville, Cloncurry, Mt Isa, Katherine, Kakadu, the Litchfield National Park and then continue the whole way round the Ord River, Kununurra, to our favoutite place Parry’s Creek Lagoon.

We take a helicopter over the Bungle Bungles, see a rodeo in Derby and the red rocks of Cape Leveque. The pearl farm at One Arm Point had just opened to the public and Julie sat in front of $1 million worth of pearls while sitting on an old concrete bench.

We loved Karajini.

We saw the dolphins at Monkey Mia and then headed south and got our first taste of Western Australian wildflowers.  Truly one of the wonders of the world.

We drank the wine and saw glass being made in Margaret River and headed back home via Fraser Sheep Station, the whales in the Bight, and the lovely country around Smoky Bay.
